Expertise

Emily has considerable experience in children matters, having worked on both private and public law cases, including assisting senior Children Panel solicitors on complex cases such as child murder, non-accidental injuries, abuse, and adoption. Her current practice focuses on private children law matters, including cases with high-conflict parental disputes and allegations of serious harm and parental alienation.

Emily also has extensive experience working on high net worth divorce cases and has a broad base of clients, from homemakers to entrepreneurs, including those with an international background. She has worked with financially weaker spouses and those who are vulnerable, including victims of coercive and controlling behaviour, and is well-placed to help guide and support clients through what can be an emotionally difficult process.

Education

Emily began her legal career with an Advanced Legal Apprenticeship in Law and went on to graduate with a first class LLB (Hons). She completed her degree part-time over four years, whilst also working at a national law firm where she assisted Senior Partners.

Since joining Vardags on the Graduate Training Programme in 2019 and qualifying as a solicitor in 2021, Emily has quickly progressed within the firm and was promoted to an Associate in January 2024.

Personal

Emily enjoys pilates and exploring new walks to go on with her partner and her cockapoo, Bailey - who has a particular love for the beach.
