Expertise

Mia is a key member of the Children team with wide-ranging experience. Most notably, Mia has assisted on:

• Child Arrangements Cases ranging from district courts to the High Court, including domestic abuse and CAFCASS involvement. Her notable involvement includes a highly contentious parent-child abduction case where a child was wrongfully removed from a non-Hague Convention country and smuggled across multiple jurisdictions.
• Schedule 1 Matters representing high-profile individuals on cases involving significant abuse, paternity issues, and intervention by children’s services.
• Grandparents' Contact obtaining permission for the grandparents to proceed with their application for a child arrangements order following the death of their son.
• Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders
• Financial Remedy Proceedings involving non-disclosure, post-separation accrual, third-party nominees, and joinder issues.

Education and Career

Mia studied Law at Birkbeck University, obtaining a First Class Honours. Whilst there, she completed a dissertation on cryptocurrencies, for which she received a first class grade.

Mia became a graduate trainee in September 2023, having previously joined Vardags as a Client Relations Specialist after 10 years of experience providing managerial support at top tier law firms in the City. She qualified as a Solicitor in March 2025.

Personal

Mia enjoys sports and fitness, particularly running, having previously completed the London Marathon. She is also a keen traveller, and enjoys her visits to Italy and the South of France.
